Official blazon

In Rot auf grünem Dreiberg eine aufgerichtete silberne Hacke mit goldenem Stiel.

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on August 5, 1960.

The oldest seal of the village dates from around 1500 and shows the tool (Hacke) as shown above. The meaning thereof is not known. The small mountain in the base may indicate the geographical position of the village. Later seals of the village showed the letter H between roses, but in 1960 the old seal was taken for the arms.
