Origin/meaning
Shoulder Sleeve Insignia: Blue and white are the school’s colors. The ram is the school’s mascot. The shoulder sleeve insignia was approved on 26 October 1993.
Shoulder Loop Insignia: Blue and gold are the school’s colors. The chain and arched bar on a blue shield denote the Bastrop family coat of arms and reflect the school’s name. The chain and arched bar also indicate the industrial development of the school’s geographic area. The torch of knowledge implies the education the school staff provides to the cadets and stands for the cadets’ civic pride in their hometown. The scroll bearing the cadets motto suggests a pair of ram’s horns and recalls the school’s mascot. The shoulder loop insignia was approved on 26 October 1993.
