Scudo d`argento alla croce di rosso caricata in cuore da altra croce d`argento sormontato da corona ducale e sostenuto ai lati da due grifoni". Sotto lo scudo su nastro d`argento bifido il motto: "IN NOVITATE VIVAM".
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on August 1, 1950
The red cross on white field is derived from the arms of Genoa and symbolises the Genoese domination of the city. The smaller white cross may represent the Savoia family.
