Origin/meaning
The arms were granted in July 1901 and show a rooster, the symbol of the local patron saint, St. Vitus. The village used in the 19th century a seal with the arms of Baden and the name Heckfeld. Previously, in 1811 the village used a seal with the three eagles of the Principality of Leiningen, to which the village belonged from 1803-1806. An 18th century is also mentioned, with the banner of the city of Lauda, and three letters H for Heckfeld. The village was part of the State of Lauda.
