Origin/meaning
The arms were officially adopted on May 31, 2010.
The lion is taken from the medieval De Montliard (or Montléard) family, lords of the village since the 11th century. The grapes and the red colour refer to the importance of viticulture in the area until the late 19th century.
The silver is a canting element, Liard is a term for a shade of light grey.
