District (Kreis) : Alzey-Worms (until 1969 Worms)
Incorporated into : 1976 Worms

Wappen von Pfeddersheim/Arms (crest) of Pfeddersheim
Official blazon
German blazon wanted
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on March 5, 1930.

The oldest known seal of the city dates from 1597 and already shows the imperial eagle. To distinguish the arms from other arms with the same eagle, a letter P was placed on the tail of the eagle. This composition was used on seals and as arms until the late 19th century. In the late 19th century the P was placed in a breast-shield and the arms were granted accordingly.
