Escut caironat: de sable, 2 claus en pal adossades amb les dents a dalt i mirant cap enfora, la de la destra d'or i la de la sinistra d'argent. Per timbre una corona de baró.

Origin/meaning

These arms have been officially granted on 7th October 1993.

The two confronting keys are the traditional arms of the village, and are the attribute of St. Peter, the local patron saint. The castle of Puigverd was the centre of a medieval barony, and this is shown by the baron's crown at the top of the arms.
