LLACUNA

Region : Catalonia
Province : Barcelona

Llacuna.jpg

Official blazon

Escut caironat: d'or, un cérvol d'atzur contornat. Per timbre, una corona de baró.

Origin/meaning

The town was founded at the feet of the Vilademàger castle, the centre of a barony ruled by the Cervelló family in the 14th century. The arms show a deer counterpassing azure in gold (the same that those of Cervelló, but in these ones the deer is passing). At the top of the arms there is a baron's crown.
