Origin/meaning
The two wavy bars symbolize the two rivers that bounded the town to the east and west. The arms are known from the seals of the city since 1530. The colours are those of the House of Savoy, of which a member, Louis, lord of Vaud, founded the city of Morges in 1286-1287.
