En bordura de plata, la leyenda "CIVITAS SEXIS FOR MENSIS S.P.Q". Rodeando el escudo una cinta de gules con la leyenda "MUY NOBLE Y LEAL CIUDAD DE MOTRIL" en letras de plata. Por timbre corona real abierta.
