WENG IM INNKREIS

State : Oberösterreich
District : Braunau am Inn

Weng.jpg

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on August 25, 1986.

The winged fish is taken from the arms of the Knights of Truchtlach, who, until the 15th century ruled the village. The green colour symbolises the many meadows in the municipality, from which the name of the village is derived (from Wangiu or Wiese, meadow in English).
