DOBRZANY

Province: Pomorze Zachodnie
County: Stargard Szczeciński

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on November 11, 2012, but have been in use for much longer time.

The arms show a claw of a griffin. The griffin was used as their symbol by the Counts of Pommerania, who ruled the town for many centuries. The claw already appeared on the 14th century seals of the city.
