Kilpi aaltokoroinen, musta-kulta-katkoinen. Yläkentässä jännitetty käsijousi nuolineen; kaikki kultaa, paitsi jousen jänne sekä nuolen kärki ja sulitettu pyrstö hopeaa. Alakentässä musta orsivaaka.

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on July 24, 1950.

The arms show a pair of scales, the symbol of the archangel St. Michael, after which the town Mikkeli was named, the municipality surrounds the town.

The upper half of the arms shows the arms of Savolahti/Savolax province.
