Origin/meaning :
The arms were officially granted on April 14, 1980.

The upper half symbolises the Kirchberg village and shows the arms of the medieval Lords von Kirchberg. The lower half shows Thening and shows a Lutheran rose. The village was one of the first Lutheran parishes in Oberösterreich.
