Official blazon

Shield: Per fess wavy Buff and Azure, in base a box hook Or.
Crest: From a wreath Or and Buff two demi-spears in saltire and one erect Proper superimposed by a lion's head Or garnished Sable charged on the shoulder with a shield blazoned: Gules, a pale Vert fimbriated Or; and within a wreath of palm Proper.
Motto: Preparedness - Dependability

Distinctive Unit Insignia: Description : A Gold metal and enamel device 1 1/8 Inches (2.86 cm) in height over all consisting of a shield
blazoned: Per fess wavy Buff and Azur, in base a box hook Or. Attached below an to the sides of the shield a Blue scroll inscribed
"PREPAREDNESS-DEPENDABILITY" in Gold letters.

Origin/meaning

The upper Buff part of the shield symbolises the Quartermaster Corps and the lower Blue part and the box hook symbolises the duties of the Battalion. the Lion's head symbolises the campaing participation credits for World War II. The Palm wreath symbolises Vietnam War Service, the three Spears symbolises the unit's Meritorious Unit Commendation awards for Vietnam. The two Army Superior Unit decorations awarded for successive operations in 1994 are represented by the colours of the shield on the lion. The Coat of Arms was originally approved for the 396th Quartermaster Battalion on 25 April 1938 it was rescinded on 19 December 1961. It was reinstated, amended to add a crest and redesignated for the 11th Tranportation Battalion on 1 December 2003. The Distinctive unit insignia was approved for the 396th Quartermaster Battelion on 25 April 1938. It was amended to correct the description on 7 March 1939. The Insignia was redesignated for the 11th Transportation Battalion on 19 December 1961.
