Distinctive Unit Insignia: A Silver color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall consisting of a shield blazoned: Per bend Azure and Celeste (Oriental Blue) a lightning bolt bendwise Gules fimbriated Argent (Silver Gray). Attached at the sides and bottom of the shield a red tripartite scroll doubled and inscribed "COLLECT EXPLOIT" in Silver.
Origin/meaning
Shield: Oriental blue and silver gray are the colors traditionally used by the Military Intelligence Corps. Red denotes valor and zeal. The two blues represent night and day vigilance and the organization's covert and overt mission. Speed of operation and the dominant role of combat electronic warfare on the battlefield are highlighted by the lightning bolt. Crest: The crest is that of the U.S. Army Reserve. The Coat of Arms and Distinctive Unit Insignia was approved 4 March 1997.
