"Geveirendeeld : 1 en 4 in zilver St. Joris den draak doorstekende, alles van natuurlijke kleur; 2 en 3 in groen twee golvende dwarsbalken van zilver."
Oorsprong/verklaring :
St. Joris is het symbool van het Westerkwartier van Groningen en de jurisdictie van Vredewold. De dwarsbalken slaan waarschijnlijk op de waterhuishouding.
