Escudo de verde, um pano de muralha de ouro, realçado de negro, sustido por um monte de prata e encimado por um feixe de três espigas de milho de ouro, folhadas de prata e atadas por um torçal de ouro, entre dois bordões de peregrino de prata, postos em pala, com sua vieira de ouro, o da dextra volvido. Coroa mural de prata de três torres. Listel branco, com a legenda a negro: "AIRÓ - BARCELOS".
