Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on September 13, 1993.

The arms symbolise the local legend that the local church was founded where a duck with a host came swimming ashore. The wavy bars also symbolise the -Bach (stream, brook) part of the name.

Literature : Baumert, H.E. : Oberösterreichische Gemeindewappen, Linz, 1996.
