Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on June 10, 1997.

The pine-tree is a traditional sign of this municipality. The other elements, at each side of the pine-tree, are the symbols of the patron saints of the two main villages of this municipality: St. Peter (the keys) for Bigues, and St. Vincent (the cross) for Riells del Fai.
