State : Niederösterreich
District : Baden

Blumaun.jpg

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on July 4, 1989.

The arms show a water tower, as in 1916 three water towers were built in the village, of which one is still operational. The local water forms part of the large water supply for the Southern part of Vienna and its suburban region. The chief shows three bombs, symbolising the Imperial army training area in the municipality in the 19th century. It also symbolises the munitions factory built here in the first world war and employing at the time 30000 people.
