Origin/meaning

The arms wer eofficially granted on October 31, 1979.

The arms are derived from the arms of the Finkenstein family. There is the castle Finkenstein, in the south of Austria. The first mention of this castle and family was 1142 "Gotboldus the Vinchenstain".
