FRANKENTHAL (FT)

Origin/meaning :
The arms were granted on June 1st, 1955.

The arms show the lion of the Pfalz and the eagle of the Counts of Leiningen, as these counts as well as the Princes of the Pfalz ruled over large parts of the district. The lower part shows the main sources of income for the population; a wheel for the industry and grapes for the viniculture and the gold colour the wheat.
