HÖRSCHING

State : Oberösterreich
District : Linz-Land

Wappen von Hörsching/Arms (crest) of Hörsching
Official blazon
German blazon wanted
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on June 21, 1982.

The two wings refer to the local airport of Linz-Hörsching as a symbol of modern transport. The wheel in the base refers to the former horse-station in Neubau, on the horse-train from Linz to Gmunden and is a symbol of past transport.

Literature : Baumert, H.E. : Oberösterreichische Gemeindewappen, Linz, 1996.
