English Per fess wavy white and blue out of a ducal coronet gold a spear head and shaft proper.

Motto: Nil desperandum.

Origin/meaning

From the Arms fo Admiral of the Fleet Baron Anson of Soberton (1697-1762). Who circumnavigated the world in HMS Centurion between 1741-1743. He was the last Sea Lord to fight at Sea. The Latin Motto translates as "Despair of nothing". The badge was approved in 1937.
