Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on November 2, 1966.

The trident is derived from the arms of the medieval Lords of Eben, who had their residence in the village. The points are derived from the banner of Tirol, and are added as the villagers showed great bravery in 1809.

Literature : Köfler and Beimrohr, 1995
