LAUTERBACH (LAT)
State : Hessen
Additions : 1937 Schotten (partly)
Incorporated into : 1972 Vogelsbergkreis
Origin/meaning :
The arms were granted on December 28, 1961.
The tree wavy bends are partly canting (Bach=brook) and are also a symbol for the many streams running from the Vogelsberg area through the district. The flower is the so-called Türkenbund, which is a very rare flower. It is still found in a protected area in the district.
