Origin/meaning

The sword enwrapped in a thread refers to personal mythology created by the armiger. A princess has lost her heart, stolen from her and trapped in a crystal of sand in an endless desert. A knight vows to find it for her, and wishing him luck, she takes a thread from her dress, tying it around the sword.
