In zilver een koggeschip met kraaiennest in natuurlijke kleur en vol zeil van keel, waarin een paal van sabel, beladen met 3 verkorte St. Andrieskruisen van zilver, paalsgewijs is gerangschikt. Het schip varende op een zee golvend gedwarsbalkt van azuur en zilver van 4 stukken.
Origin/meaning
The emblem contains the municipal coat of arms of Amsterdam, incorporated in the sail of the cog. The ship symbolizes the navy, which has had a base in Amsterdam since the 16th century.
