Motto: Fortis Nocte

Origin/meaning

The Horseshoe a symbol of Luck symbolises that the Squdron suffered only light casualties during extensive operations during World War I. It also symbolises co-operation with Cavalry. The Lightning indicates the speed with which the tasks was done during a comparatively short history. The Motto translates as "Strong by night". The badge was granted in February 1938.
