History: First formed in 1943 at Durban, South Africa as a Fleet Requirements Unit.

English Per fess blue and barry wavy of six white and blue; two assegais in saltire points in base surmounted by a Zulu shield proper.

Origin/meaning

The Assegais and Zulu Shield alluded to the forming in Durban. The badge was approved in 1945.
