History: First formed in 1940 at Royal Naval Air Station Crail (HMS Jackdaw) Fife, Sctoland asa Torpedo Training Unit. Disbanded in 1946.

The Jackdaw symbolises the location to HMS Jackdaw, the Torpedo the Role of Torpedo Training. The badge wa approved on 6 November 1943.
