Portuguese | Escudo de azul, dois ramos de azinheira de ouro, com casculhos do mesmo e glandes de prata e secção de carril ferroviário de prata, sustida por parafusos de ouro, tudo bem ordenado e circundado por rosário de prata, posto em orla. Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on May 9, 2008.
The arms show a railway rail, taken from the arms of the municipality. The chain is the symbol of Our Lady, the local patron saint. The oak branches symbolise the local forests.
