PASSAIL

State : Steiermark
District : Weiz

Passail.jpg

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on December 15, 1639.

The arms were granted by Emperor Ferdinand III upon petition by Wolf von Stubenberg, who was a chamberlain to the Emperor and also landlord of the market borough of Passail. For these reasons, the Wolfssense (the charge looking similar to an anchor) appears in the arms.
