History: Formed in December 1936.

A sheaf of arrows gules flighted Or bound with a ribbon sable.
Motto: Ex tennebris ad lucem = From darkness to light.

Origin/meaning

The Arrows symbolises the Bombs droped by Aircraft based at the Station. The Red and gold signify their effect. The Black ribbon indicates night operations from the Station. The badge was granted in April 1944.
