RATTENBERG

State : Tirol
District : Kufstein

Wappen von Rattenberg
Official blazon
German blazon wanted
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The oldest use of the arms dates from a seal of the city dating from 1383. The seal already shows the canting combination of wheel (Rad) on a mountain (Berg). Even though the arms have been shown in many different variations, the basic composition has not changed since.

Literature: Köfler and Beimrohr, 1995
