State : Tirol
District : Landeck

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on November 27, 1973.

The arms are based on the medieval Lords of Ried, who already showed a basilisk in their arms. They were especially important for the village in the 14th century and built the local castle (Turm zu Ried).
