SANKT JOHANN IN TIROL
State : Tirol
District : Kitzbühel
Origin/meaning :
The arms were officially granted on May 13, 1954.
The ibex horn is derived from the arms of the Lords von Velben, who had one of their castles near St. Johann. The crosier refers to the fact that the village was the seat of the Bishops of Chiemsee during the summer months for a long time.
