Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on October 29, 1976.

The arms of Scheifling combine several charges: The crozier for the Archbishop of Salzburg, who owned lands in the municipality. The shovels are the canting arms of a family of squires, von Scheuflich ("of the shovels"). The hammers are symbols of industry.
