Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on April 10, 1967.

The flaming sword is the symbol of St. Michael. The bordure with the drops of blood signify Christ and on the other hand are a reminder of the harshness of the world beyond the confines of the school and that anyone at any time may be required to shed his blood for Christ.
