- (de) Ein von Blau und Rot durch ein goldenes fossiles Schneckengehäuse mit nach links unten zeigendem Schnabel schräg-rechts geteilter Schild. Rechts oben drei, links unten zwei goldene Lilien.
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on March 7, 2005.
The arms show a fossil snail from the genus Tibia (Rostellaria). The fossils are approximately 16 million years old and were found in 1899 in several places in the Stainztal municipality. The golden colour refers to the colour of the fossils, the blue to the prehistoric sea.

The five fleur-de-lis represent the five villages and former municipalities in Stainztal. The fleur-de-lis is also the symbol of St. Mary, who is also the patron saint of the largest church in the municipality, the church in Mettersdorf.
