History:Raised in 1685 as the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers, redesignated in 1751 as 7th Foot. In 1968 amalgamated with [[The Royal Northumberland Fusiliers, British Army]], [[The Royal Warwickshire Fusiliers, British Army]], [[The Lancashire Fusiliers, British Army]] to form [[The Royal Regiment of Fusiliers, British Army]].

===Official blazon===
A grenade, on the ball of which is the Garter ensigned with a crown, and within the Garter the Union Rose; below the Garter the the White Horse of Hanover. the Grenade, Garter and crown are in gilt or gilding metal, and the Garter motto on a ground of blue enamel; the Union Rose and White Horse are in silver plate.
