THE WORCESTERSHIRE REGIMENT, BRITISH ARMY

History: Raised in 1694 as Farrington's Regiment (29th Foot in 1751) and in 1701 as Charlemont's Regiment (36th Foot in 1751). In 1881 those two Regiments become the 1st and 2nd Battalions of the Worcestershire Regiment. In 1970 amalgamated with The Sherwood Foresters (Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire Regiment), British Army to form The Worcestershire and Sherwood Foresters Regiment, British Army
