Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on December 13, 1965.

The church in the right half of the arms is the local church. The two crossed keys are the arms of Montafon, to which the village historically belonged. The water mill wheel symbolises the old watermills, used for milling and sawing, as well as the present hydro-electrical power plant.

Literature : Burmeister, 1975
