URZICENI

District/county (județ) : Ialomița

Stema Urziceni

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on June 25, 2004.

The three crosses are the symbol of the religious feeling of the inhabitants of the municipality, who have as spiritual patrons the Holy Emperors Constantine and Helen, those who found and raised the Holy Cross.

The fish is a complex symbol whose connotations also refer to the sources of Christianity. At the same time it is a traditional heraldic element of Urziceni locality.

The wreath is the symbol of the agricultural wealth, of the Bărăgan Plain, in which the municipality is located, at the same time being related to one of the important economic activities in the area - the bakery industry.

The mural crown with five crenellated towers means that the locality has the rank of municipality.
