WEINITZEN

State : Steiermark
District : Graz-Umgebung

Weinitzen.gif

Origin/meaning :
The arms were granted on September 24, 1979.

The main charge, called an "Angel", is taken from the arms of a medieval landowner. The vine-leaves are a reference to the vine-yards, which gave the municipality its name, but have disappeared totally.
