Official blazon

Shoulder Sleeve Insignia. Description: On a white vertical rectangle arched convexly at top and bottom a white bust of a Spartan soldier in profile shaded black garbed in a silver gray helm with blue and silver gray cap and crest. Attached above a white scroll inscribed “WMRHS” in black letters and attached below a white scroll inscribed “SPARTANS” in black letters and all within a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) blue border. The overall dimensions are 2 1/2 inches (6.35 cm) in width by 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in height.

Shoulder Loop Insignia. Description: A silver color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height, consisting of a vertical rectangle convex at the top, wider and flat at the bottom, displaying a stylized scenic view; light blue sky with white clouds behind a snow-capped mountain at left, behind a tree line of eight green firs, in base a blue waterway. Attached to base, a dark blue scroll turned silver inscribed “WHITE MOUNTAINS” in silver letters.

Origin/meaning

Shoulder Sleeve Insignia: Blue and white are the school colors. The Spartan warrior is the school mascot, and reflects the cadets’ dedication to school, community and country.

Shoulder Loop Insignia: Dark blue and white are the school colors. The stylized scenic view symbolizes the geographical locale of the school and the cadets’ pride of school and community.

The Shoulder Sleeve Insignia was approved on 20 July 1998 and Shoulder Loop Insignia was approved on 8 April 2004.
