Van keel met drie achtpuntige sterren van goud, 2 en 1 geplaatst, vergezeld van twaalf blokjes van zilver, vier in het schildhoofd maast elkander, drie in het midden van het schild, 1 en 2 geplaatst, vijf in de schildvoet, zoomsgewijs geplaatst - het schild getopt met een kroon van dertien parels, waarvan drie verheven, en gehouden door twee leeuwen van goud, getongd van keel.

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on May 30, 1958.

The arms are derived from the arms of the Volkaert family, for several centuries owners of the Welden estate, which formed the largest part of the Zevergem municipality.
