Official blazon

- (1988) In keel een zon met 28 stralen van goud; hartschild: in sabel de hoofdletters BK van goud; het hartschild getopt rechts met een mijter en links met de krul van een kromstaf, beide van zilver.
Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on May 30, 1953 and again on October 5, 1988.
The sun in the arms is a canting element (zon=sun). The arms are based on the arms of the former Zonnebeke Abbey, that showed a sun rising from a green stream (beek=stream) and the letters BK in red. The letters BK form the latter part of the name : Zon and BK. The abbey owned and ruled the village from 1112-1799. The arms are known from the local seals from the late 18th century.

In 1988 the arms were changed according to the actual image of the seal.
