In sinopel een paalsgewijs geplaatste tropedo van zilver, aan de onderzijde omstrengeld door twee slangen van hetzelfde en halverwege de hoogte lopend over een vlucht van goud. Als embleemspreuk AB ORTU AD OCCASUM SOLIS (van zonsopkomst tot zonsondergang) in Latijnse letters van zilver op een lint van sinopel.
Origin/meaning
The Torpedo symbolises the Role of the Ship as a Torpedo Tender. The Addition of the Wings and Snakes makes an allusion to the Rod of Mercury and the name of the Ship. Mercuur beeing the Dutch name of the Roman God Mercury. The Motto translates as "From Dawn to Dusk". The badge was approved 4 August 1967.
